| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Lynda Kay McKay, formerly of Carlinville, |
| 4 |
| who passed away on December 4, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was the daughter of John and Lola Passetti and |
| 6 |
| was raised in Gillespie; she was married to Robert McKay from |
| 7 |
| 1961 to 1979 and they raised three children in Carlinville; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She graduated from Governors State University |
| 9 |
| with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989; she worked in real |
| 10 |
| estate for many years; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She enjoyed bike riding for many years and |
| 12 |
| completed the nearly 500-mile Annual Great Bicycle Race Across |
| 13 |
| Iowa; she had an article about motherhood published in the |
| 14 |
| Illinois State Journal-Register in 1991; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, In 2006 she traveled to Guatemala and had lived in |
| 16 |
| the Chicago area towards the end of her life; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Lynda McKay is survived by her daughter, Diana |
| 18 |
| Lowder; her sons, Greg and Jeff (Marcy); her grandchildren, |
| 19 |
| Anthony, Reed, Alejandra, and David; and her sister, JoAnne |
| 20 |
| Sawyer; therefore, be it
