| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Bill Hamrick Jr. of Augusta, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on February 2, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on February 13, 1927 in Dallas City, |
| 6 |
| to William Lester Sr. and Mercedes (Horner) Hamrick; he was a |
| 7 |
| graduate of Fort Madison, Iowa, high school; he married Barbara |
| 8 |
| De Jaynes on September 5, 1955 in Augusta; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He was a plumber and steamfitter with Steamfitters |
| 10 |
| Local 353 in Peoria; he was a member of 1st Baptist Church in |
| 11 |
| Colchester and a member of Augusta V.F.W. Post #9029; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He served as a Democratic precinct committeeman |
| 13 |
| for many years and as a Boy Scout leader; he was a veteran of |
| 14 |
| the United States Army, serving in World War II; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and his |
| 16 |
| niece, Patricia Gillett; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Bill Hamrick Jr. is survived by his wife, Barbara; |
| 18 |
| his sons, Bill Hamrick III (Deborah) and Craig Hamrick |
| 19 |
| (Brenda); his granddaughters, Rebecca, Emily, and Tiffany |
| 20 |
| Hamrick; his sister, Betty (Conrad) Gillett; his step-brother, |
