SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Janet Sue Park of Penfield, who passed 
4
away on January 15, 2010; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, She was born on October 31, 1951, the daughter of 
6
the late William "Bill" Ellis and Alice Eileen (Collins) Ellis; 
7
she married Harlin "Sam" Park on September 13, 1970, at St. 
8
Paul's Lutheran Church in Gifford; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, Mrs. Park graduated from Rantoul Township in 1969 
10
and Eastern Illinois University in Charleston in 1983; she was 
11
a member of St. Paul's Church; and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, She was a teacher's aide at Thomasboro and 
13
Armstrong and was currently teaching special education at 
14
Gifford Elementary School, where she has been a loved and 
15
adored teacher for the past 20 years; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, Her family and grandchildren were a central part 
17
of her life, and she loved to attend their sporting events and 
18
school functions; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, Janet Sue Park is survived by her husband, Harlin 
20
"Sam" Park; her mother; her daughter, Kimberly (Bruce) Cline;

her son, Justin (Rachel) Park; her sister, Shirley (Dennis) 
2
Franzen; and her five grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Faith Cline 
3
and Jordan, Joshua, and Gracie Park; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
her family and friends, the passing of Janet Sue Park; and be 
7
it further
  
 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Janet Sue Park as a symbol of our 
10
sincere sympathy.
