| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Amanda Jean Prucnell, a resident of |
| 4 |
| Clearbrook in Rolling Meadows and a longtime resident of |
| 5 |
| Palatine, who passed away on February 13, 2010; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born July 5, 1989, in Tampa, Florida; |
| 7 |
| Amanda had been a student at Kirk School in Palatine where she |
| 8 |
| was currently a "super senior"; she had been very involved with |
| 9 |
| Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) for many |
| 10 |
| years and participated in Special Olympics, where she received |
| 11 |
| multiple gold and silver medals; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Amanda will be remembered as "the girl with the |
| 13 |
| permanent smile who never met a stranger"; she was a social |
| 14 |
| butterfly throughout the entire community; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Amanda was loved by so many friends and family, |
| 16 |
| and will be deeply missed; she is survived by her mother, Jean |
| 17 |
| A. (William) Brandt; her father, Stephen C. (Kathleen) |
| 18 |
| Prucnell; her sister, Jennifer Prucnell; her maternal |
| 19 |
| grandparents, Helen (the late Howard) Bittner; her paternal |
| 20 |
| grandparents, Barbara (Stephen) Prucnell; her uncles, Mark |
| 21 |
| Prucnell, Michael (Patricia) Bittner, and Jack (Cindy) |
| 22 |
| Bittner; and her aunt, Irene (Edward) Cauwels; also surviving |
