| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Geraldine M. Deck of Dorsey, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on February 18, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on July 24, 1926, in St. Louis, the |
| 6 |
| daughter of Vincent and Adrian M. (Vincent) Stirnaman; she |
| 7 |
| married Richard Deck on November 23, 1946, in Alton; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a nurse's aide at Olin Corp. for more than |
| 9 |
| 20 years; she was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, |
| 10 |
| then moved her membership to St. Matthews Catholic Church, and |
| 11 |
| last to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded |
| 13 |
| in death by her son, Gary Deck; and one grandson; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Geraldine Deck is survived by her children and |
| 15 |
| their spouses, Richard and Susie Deck, Howard and Karen Deck, |
| 16 |
| Arthur and Barbara Deck, Joyce and Don Baker, Marianne and |
| 17 |
| David Bone, Barbara and Terry Hutslar, and Paula and Dane |
| 18 |
| Walkington; her 15 grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; |
| 19 |
| her two brothers and a sister-in-law, Glennon Stirnaman, James |
| 20 |
| Stirnaman, and a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Charles |
| 21 |
