| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Harold J. Cross of Harvard, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on March 31, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Harold J. Cross was born August. 29, 1930, in |
| 6 |
| Harvard, to Harold and Grace (Twell) Cross; on July 16, 1951, |
| 7 |
| he married Lydia Nestele in Germany; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a United States Army Air Force veteran; he |
| 9 |
| worked as an analyzer for Admiral Corporation for 28 years; he |
| 10 |
| later worked for KKO in Capron for five years and the McHenry |
| 11 |
| County Sheriff's Department for 8.5 years; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and |
| 13 |
| enjoyed repairing lawn mowers and snow blowers, bird watching, |
| 14 |
| fishing, hunting, the outdoors, shopping, and spending time |
| 15 |
| with family and friends; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Harold Cross is survived by his wife, Lydia Cross; |
| 18 |
| his mother, Grace Dowey; his three sisters, Nancy (Craig) |
| 19 |
| Smith, Betty Cross, and Mary (Bill) Siegler; several nieces and |
| 20 |
| nephews; and many friends; therefore, be it
