| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Joseph E. "Jody" Trover Sr. of |
| 4 |
| Belleville, who passed away on April 28, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He began his career at the age of 13 as a caddy at |
| 6 |
| St. Louis Country Club; there he discovered his love of golf; |
| 7 |
| in 1962, he went to work for a new sandwich business and |
| 8 |
| married Jeanette the following year; he went on to pursue his |
| 9 |
| dreams, a family, a business, sitting on boards, and being |
| 10 |
| involved in the church and the community; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He still found time for golf, hunting, fishing, |
| 12 |
| and friends or a stranger; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He bought Landshire Incorporated, the company |
| 14 |
| known for distributing sandwiches, in 1966; he also operated |
| 15 |
| Yorktown Golf Course in Shiloh and Practice T in Fairview |
| 16 |
| Heights; he was also involved with Head Start in East St. |
| 17 |
| Louis; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin |
| 19 |
| Trover; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Trover Sr. is survived by his mother, |
