SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Betty Carol Menson of Creve Coeur, who 
4passed away on July 10, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born July 5, 1951, in Vallejo, California, 
6to John and Jackie (Franks) Hale; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, She had worked as director of programs at Peoria 
8Friendship House of Christian Service; she was a member of the 
9Anti-hunger Coalition, the Voices of Illinois Children, and 
10Dress for Success; and she was a member of the Creve Coeur 
11Christian Church; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS,
She was preceded in death by her father; her 
13grandparents, Howard and Inez Hart; and her two brothers, Billy 
14Hale and Mike Hale; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Betty Menson is survived by her mother; her 
16daughter, Deborah Lynn Menson; her son, Michael Lee Menson; her 
17two grandchildren; and her brothers, Bob (Vickie) Hale, Tom 
18(Joyce) Hale, Jerry (Wanda) Hale, and Dan (Julia) Hale; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
2her family and friends, the passing of Betty Menson; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Betty Menson as a symbol of our 
6sincere sympathy.
