SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Vicki Stewart, who passed away on July 
410, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Vicki Stewart spent most of her life in the 
6Champaign area; she attended Urbana High School and graduated 
7from the University of Illinois with a degree in journalism; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Vicki Stewart was the program director of Family 
10Service of Champaign County until her recent retirement; she 
11was also a member of the Champaign County Board and the 
12Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District Board; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Vicki Stewart worked with the Retired and Senior 
14Volunteer Program for many years, finding volunteers for the 
15program and nominating other programs for awards based on their 
16work; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Vicki Stewart will be remembered fondly by her 
18family and friends for her distinguished record of volunteer 
19service, her sense of humor, her purposeful behavior, and her 
20snappy fashion sense; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Vicki Stewart; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Vicki Stewart as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
