| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
Thomas Leighton Edwards Jr. of Peoria, |
| 4 | | who passed away on July 23, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Edwards Jr. was born on September 6, 1930, |
| 6 | | in Flint, Michigan; he was the son of Thomas Leighton and |
| 7 | | Monica (McGovern) Edwards Sr.; he was formerly married to |
| 8 | | Judith Varian (Michael D.) Peyton and Kathe L. Carrigan; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Edwards Jr. was preceded in death by his |
| 10 | | parents and his sisters, Barbara Jean Fields and Susan Marie |
| 11 | | Edwards; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Edwards Jr. is survived by his children, |
| 13 | | Taurawa Jori Edwards (Kevin S. Hall), Roth Thomas Edwards, |
| 14 | | Shalon Varian (Ryan Smith) Edwards, and Rosha Leighton Edwards; |
| 15 | | his grandchildren, Kieran Ryan Edwards-Smith, Shay Leighton |
| 16 | | Edwards-Smith, and Nalia Varian Edwards-Smith; and his |
| 17 | | brothers, David Lawrence Edwards and John Sanford (Cindy) |
| 18 | | Edwards; therefore, be it
