SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marilyn Keine Robinson of Aurora, who passed away on August 21, 2010; and

WHEREAS, She was born August 27, 1924, in Aurora, to the late Fredrick Paul and Emily (Brooks) Keine; and

WHEREAS, In her 20s, she worked for Doctor McCullough, a general practitioner in Aurora; after the passing of her husband she worked at Aurora National Bank until her retirement, where she made lifelong friends and found great joy sharing her time with others; and

WHEREAS, Her interests were enjoying time with family and friends, reading biographies, mastering crossword puzzles, and working hard to make her home a loving place; she was always willing to give time and comfort to others, and she will be greatly missed; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert William Robinson; her sister, Eleanor Hoefer Krause; her brothers, Dick Keine, Ray Keine, and Bobby Keine; and many cherished friends; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Robinson is survived by her four daughters, Martha (Robert Rogers Harriage, M.D.) Robinson Harriage, Sarah (Patrick Allen Hayes) Robinson Hayes, Barbara (the late David Hoganson) Robinson Hoganson, and Susan (Roger Germundson) Robinson; her seven grandchildren, Sarah Rebekah, Elizabeth Jane, Sarah Ashley, Alexandra, twins Robbie and Beth, and Emily Lynn; her one great-grandchild, Chloe Elizabeth; and her beloved nephew, David Charles Hoefer, and niece Susie Hoefer Nagan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Marilyn Robinson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marilyn Robinson as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
