SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Cecily Leach, who passed away on July 7, 
42010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Cecily Leach was born on January 24, 1939, in 
6Evanston; she was raised in Park Ridge and graduated from Maine 
7Township High School in 1956 and Michigan State University in 
81960; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Cecily Leach met her husband John on a blind date 
10in Chicago in the summer of 1964; she subsequently joined her 
11husband in his home building business and became CEO of Leach 
12Homes; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Cecily Leach was an active member of the Silver 
14Cross Foundation, the University of St. Francis Board of 
15Trustees, and Meals on Wheels; she had also looked forward to 
16serving as Childerguild's 2010 President; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Cecily Leach is survived by her husband, John; her 
18loving daughters, Susan Leach and Jane (Steven) Winger; her 
19sister, Linda (George) Wischmeyer; her several nieces and 
20nephews; and her countless dear friends and colleagues; 
21therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Cecily Leach; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Cecily Leach as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
