SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Martha A. Burlison of Benton, who passed 
4away on August 18, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born in Benton on July 7, 1917, the 
6daughter of Frank and Josephine (Jedlicka) Krajnik; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, She was a member of the Benton American Legion and 
8the VFW auxiliaries; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, She was very active in the Democratic Party for 
10several years  and would drive people to the polls so as not to 
11lose the Democratic votes; she was known to never miss an 
12election; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her 
14parents; and her sister, Mary Krajnik; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, She is survived by her sons, Ronald Burlison and 
16his wife, Patti, and Dr. John Burlison and his wife, Christy; 
17her grandsons, Dr. Jared Burlison and Raymond "Ramie" Burlison 
18and his wife, Vanessa; her great grandson, Raymond "Ramie" 
19Burlison Jr.; and her brother, Frank Krajnik; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Martha Burlison; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Martha Burlison as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
