SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Margaret Richardson, who passed away on 
4June 23, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret Richardson was born on April 13, 1924; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Margaret Richardson was involved in many 
8organizations, including the International Flying Farmers, the 
9Community Church of Richmond, and University of Illinois 
10Extension of the Homemakers Organization; she was also very 
11involved in the development of the Richardson Christmas Tree 
12Farm and Corn Maze; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Margaret Richardson enjoyed being in her garden 
14and living on her farm; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Margaret Richardson is survived by her husband of 
16more than 60 years, Owen Richardson; her children, Robert 
17(Carol), Jane (Steve) Amundsen, George (Wendy), Peter 
18(Arlana), and Dale (Sarah); her grandchildren, Jean (Jim) 
19Valsa, Kai and Bryce Amundsen, Kenneth (Suzanne), and Andrew, 
20Kyle, Ryan (Kristen), Emily, Isaac (Abby), Jacob, and Jennell 
21Richardson; and her sister, Lois (the late Robert) Smith;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4her family and friends, the passing of Margaret Richardson; and 
5be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Margaret Richardson as an expression 
8of our sympathy.
