| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Donald W. Miller of North Aurora, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 5, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Donald Miller was born December 1, 1936, in |
| 6 | | Kellogg, Minnesota, the son of Fred and Rosalia (Miller) |
| 7 | | Miller; he was united in marriage to Patricia M. (Knur) Miller |
| 8 | | on May 14, 1963, at St. Mary Church in Aurora; he served three |
| 9 | | years in the United States Army, where he was stationed in |
| 10 | | Japan; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, He was employed for 42 years with the Burlington |
| 12 | | Northern Railroad, and another 10 years with the Kane County |
| 13 | | Cougars; he was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church in |
| 14 | | North Aurora; he was a third degree member of the Knights of |
| 15 | | Columbus, sang in the choir, and was active in the "Right to |
| 16 | | Life" Ministry, as well as the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry; |
| 17 | | he kept busy with gardening, fishing, and sports of all kinds; |
| 18 | | his big thrills were trips to Minnesota and family reunions; |
| 19 | | and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Donald Miller was preceded in death by his |
| 21 | | parents; his brothers, Fred Jr., Kenneth, and Frances; his |
| 22 | | grandson, Alexander; his daughter-in-law, Catherine (Flores) |
