SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Helen E. Horn, who passed away on October 
44, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Helen Horn was born on September 5, 1922, in 
6Alton; she was the daughter of George and Anna (Masel) Handler; 
7she married David R. Horn on September 7, 1941, in Palmyra, 
8Missouri; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Helen Horn served as a designer for Lammer's 
10Floral for many years; she was also a member of College Avenue 
11Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Alton Memorial Hospital; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Helen Horn was preceded in death by her husband; 
14her brothers, Sam and Carl Handler; and her sisters, Katherine 
15Webb and Elinor Norman; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Helen Horn is survived by her sons, David M. Horn 
17and his wife, Debbie, Richard F. Horn and his wife, Becky, and 
18John E. Horn and his fiancee, Autumn; her grandchildren, Mary, 
19James, Mark, and Kevin Horn, Christine Salmon, and Kim Horn; 
20and her 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Helen E. Horn; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Helen Horn as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
