|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Harry J. Clay of Waukegan, who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 28, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Clay was a graduate of Indiana University and |
| 6 | | a rated chess player while living in Indiana; he served in the |
| 7 | | United States Army, Special Forces/Airborne, stationed at Fort |
| 8 | | Bragg, North Carolina; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, He taught in the Math Department at Waukegan High |
| 10 | | School from 1966 until his retirement in 1992, and was a |
| 11 | | past-president of the Waukegan High School Teacher's Union |
| 12 | | Local 504; Harry loved the City of Chicago for its theater and |
| 13 | | music, spending many retirement years visiting the city with |
| 14 | | his wife, but always returning home to Waukegan; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Harry J. Clay is survived by his wife, Kathryn |
| 16 | | Clay; his daughter, Christina Clay, M.D.; and his |
| 17 | | grand-daughters, Ellen and Charlotte Morris; therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 20 | | his family and friends, the passing of Harry Clay; and be it |
| 21 | | further
