| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Wilma J. Cox of Plainview, who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 8, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born in Shipman, on April 21, 1940, to |
| 6 | | Herman C. and Susie A. (Eddington) Kahl; on February 22, 1969, |
| 7 | | she married Gerald A. Cox in Shipman; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, She served with the Macoupin County Treasurer's |
| 9 | | Office from 1958 until retiring in 2006, serving as Treasurer |
| 10 | | from 1994 until 2006, and was a member of the Women of the |
| 11 | | Moose in Carlinville, the Democratic Women of Macoupin County, |
| 12 | | and Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and her |
| 14 | | three sisters, Arlene Stampe, Lucille Carr, and Norma Kahl; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Wilma Cox is survived by her husband, Gerald; her |
| 16 | | daughters and sons-in-law, Jodi and Don Simons and Lisa and |
| 17 | | Barry Reno; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Angie Cox; |
| 18 | | her seven grandchildren, Garrett and Amanda Cox, Benjamin and |
| 19 | | Joseph Reno, and Colton, Zachary, and Conner Simons; and her |
| 20 | | sisters, Iola Prather and Alice Randolph; therefore, be it
