SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jennifer McDevitt, who passed away on 
4November 16, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jennifer A. McDevitt (nee, Galloway) was born 
6October 4, 1974; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, She was awarded the Tim Guillikson Spirit Award 
8for being a brain tumor patient that had embraced the fighting 
9spirit and positive attitude that gives hope to others; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, After her diagnosis with a malignant brain tumor, 
11she took up marathon running, participating in several Chicago 
12marathons and becoming an inspiration to others; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS,  She leaves her beloved husband, Glen; her 
14beautiful son, Jack; her parents, Richard and Margaret; her 
15brother, Christopher (Angela); her nieces, McKenzie and 
16Maddison; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
20her family and friends, the passing of Jennifer McDevitt; and
