SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Marjorie J. Werenski of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on November 12, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born on December 31, 1921 in Waukegan; she 
6was one of three children born to the late Ruth and George 
7Moran, and was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Joseph 
8"Slug" Werenski, Sr. for 38 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Marge loved playing bingo and poker, attending 
10church, celebrating her Irish heritage, and spending time with 
11family and friends; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn 
13(Jackie) Moran and her brother, Robert "Duke" Moran; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Marjorie Werenski will forever be remembered by 
15her devoted son, Stephen, Jr (Opal) Werenski; her loving 
16grandchildren, Kristina Werenski and Heather (Tom) Sternberg; 
17her treasured great-grandchild, Athena; her nephews and niece, 
18John (Cookie) Moran, Robert (Nancy) Moran, and Dawn (Steve) 
19Landfield; along with countless other family and friends who 
20were blessed to know her; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Marjorie Werenski; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Marjorie Werenski as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
