SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald M. Hinrichs of Alton; and
 
4    WHEREAS, He was born on March 10, 1924, in Alton, the son
5of the late Harry C. and Lillian (Bilderbeck) Hinrichs; he
6married Patricia Siglock on April 30, 1949, in Alton; and
 
7    WHEREAS, He was veteran of the United States Army, serving
8his country during World War II with the 81st Combat Engineers
9of 106 Infantry Division; he fought in four of the seven major
10battles in Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, VFW
12Post 1308, both in Alton, and a charter member of Alton High
13Men's Round Table Limited; he enjoyed family, friends, golfing,
14and military reunions; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Hinrichs is survived by his wife, Patricia
16Hinrichs; his sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Marsha
17Hinrichs and Matt and Julie Hinrichs; his daughter and
18son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Roberts; his 11 grandchildren, Audrey
19Heischmidt and her husband, Eric, Courtney Hinrichs and her
20fiance, Todd Meier, Arend C. Hinrichs, Lauren Horn and her
21husband, Jim, Andrew M., Catherine, and Olivia Hinrichs, Nick,

1Rick, Bryan, and Allison Roberts; and his 3
2great-grandchildren, Jackson, Julianna, and Christopher;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6his family and friends, the passing of Donald Hinrichs; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Donald Hinrichs as a symbol of our
10sincere sympathy.
