SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carolyn Gordon Hewitt of Hinsdale, who 
4passed away on November 25, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born August 30, 1927 in Oak Park, the 
6adored daughter of the late William Kenneth Gordon and Helen 
7Manning Gordon; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Lyons Township High School 
9and the University of Iowa; she received a Masters Degree in 
10Fine Arts at The American Academy of Art and was a long time 
11resident of Hinsdale; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, She was an avid gardener and a gifted artist who 
13enjoyed all elements of painting; she was known for her fun 
14loving nature, hearty laugh, and great listening skills; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, She was the cherished mother of David Hewitt, 
16Douglass Hewitt, and Carrie Hewitt Dennis; beloved 
17Mother-in-law of Marilyn Hewitt, Susan Geisenheimer, and Paul 
18Dennis; adored grandmother of Amy Wilson, Sally Hewitt, 
19Benjamin Hewitt, and Jessica Hewitt, Katie Dennis, and Scott 
20Dennis; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Carolyn Hewitt; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Carolyn Hewitt as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
