SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Andrew Ryan "Chappy" Chapman of Bunker Hill, who passed away on November 8, 2010; and

WHEREAS, He was born on May 13, 1986, the son of Kent McCoy and Mary (Chapman) May; he was a 2004 graduate of Bunker Hill High School; and

WHEREAS, He was a pipefitter with Local 553 and was a member of the pipefitters union; and

WHEREAS, He was a musician and songwriter in the band "Templit"; he liked the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his step-grandparent, Sherry Stoops; and his step-aunt, Stacey Stoops; and

WHEREAS, Andrew Chapman is survived by his parents, Kent (Lisa) McCoy and Mary (Tod) May; his fiance and love, Katelin Hancock; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Dorothy McCoy; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Catherine Chapman; his step-grandparents, Jan and Joe Barlow and Ronald and Jane Stoops; his siblings, Megan (Justin) Grove, Melissa McCoy, Melody McCoy, Megan May, Erick May, Patrick May, Michael May, Blaise (Amy) Kulp, Tristesse Kulp, and Hannah Kulp; his aunts and uncles, Teresa (Dan) Cope, Jeffrey (Nannette) Chapman, Jenny (Frank) Hamilton, Mark (Nancy) McCoy, Gary (Alma) McCoy, Glenn (Laura) McCoy, Kris (Scott) Heather, Tim (Lisa) May, Kathy (Scott) Gathard, Dale (Emily) Johns, and Tony Stoops; his cousins, Elizabeth Golike, David Golike, Cameron Golike, Elijah Strohbeck, Evan Strohbeck, Caitlyn Cope, Benjamin Cope, Derik McCoy, Molly McCoy, Jack McCoy, and Callum McCoy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Andrew Chapman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Andrew Chapman as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
