| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 83, AS AMENDED, with |
| 3 | | reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 3, on |
| 4 | | page 3, by inserting immediately below line 19 the following: |
| 5 | | "(1.7) In addition, before the court commits a minor to the |
| 6 | | Department of Juvenile Justice, the court must find reasonable |
| 7 | | efforts have been made to prevent or eliminate the need for the |
| 8 | | minor to be removed from the home, or reasonable efforts |
| 9 | | cannot, at this time, for good cause, prevent or eliminate the |
| 10 | | need for removal; and removal from the home is in the minor's |
| 11 | | best interest and welfare.".
