| 7 | | vending machine, a la carte, or as part of the school breakfast |
| 8 | | program, the school lunch program, or the summer food service |
| 9 | | program. Each school shall certify compliance with this Section |
| 10 | | in writing to the president of the school board, and this |
| 11 | | certification must be read into the record at the next |
| 12 | | regularly scheduled board meeting after receipt of the |
| 13 | | certification. |
| 14 | | (c) This Section does not apply to individually packaged |
| 15 | | food items sold or served by students off-campus as part of a |
| 16 | | fundraiser or to fundraisers that take place on campus by |
| 17 | | groups that are not associated with the school. |

| 20 | | (a) For the purposes of this Section: |
| 21 | | "Individually packaged food item" means a food item in the |
| 22 | | manufacturer's original, sealed package. |
| 23 | | "Trans fat" means fat that is considered trans fat by the |
| 24 | | U.S. Food and Drug Administration. "Trans fat" does not include |
| 25 | | naturally
occurring trans fat. Food shall be deemed to contain |

under this Section if the food is labeled as, lists |

ingredient, or contains any kind of partially |
