| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 8 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 2305/8) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 22.06)

| 7 | | Sec. 8.
From funds appropriated to it for this purpose, the
|
| 8 | | the Department
of Public Health shall annually make grants to |
| 9 | | regional poison resource
centers to provide fast, accurate |
| 10 | | information for poison prevention,
detection, surveillance, |
| 11 | | and treatment. The Department of Public Health
shall develop |
| 12 | | standards to delineate the responsibilities of poison
resource |
| 13 | | centers receiving funds under this Section. |
