| 5 | | Practices Act is amended by adding Section 2LLL as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 2LLL. Credit check bond. A person or entity that |
| 8 | | obtains personal information to check the credit of consumers |
| 9 | | must carry a bond of at least $250,000 to indemnify the |
| 10 | | consumer for any theft, loss, or unauthorized sharing of the |
| 11 | | personal information used in the credit check. A violation of |
| 12 | | this Section constitutes an unlawful practice within the |
| 13 | | meaning of this Act.".
