| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1041 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 3, line 2 by inserting ""Public works" does not include |
| 4 | | projects that are undertaken by community action association |
| 5 | | agencies in administrating and completing projects that |
| 6 | | receive federal funding." after "residence."; and
|
| 7 | | on page 4, by inserting the following after line 11:
|
| 8 | | "In cases where laborers, mechanics, and other workers |
| 9 | | employed on public works projects containing over $2,000 in |
| 10 | | federal funds are subject to a collective bargaining agreement |
| 11 | | permitting the employer to utilize alternate work scheduling |
| 12 | | (including, but not limited to, working 4 10-hour days at the |
| 13 | | base contract wage rate), the employer may act in accordance |
| 14 | | with those portions of the collective bargaining agreement |
| 15 | | without being in violation of this Act.".
