AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1519 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1519 on page 1, by 
3inserting immediately below line 3 the following:


 
4    "Section 3. The State Finance Act is amended by adding 
5Sections 5.786 and 6z-87 as follows:
 
6    (30 ILCS 105/5.786 new)
7    Sec. 5.786. The Murder Victims Services Fund.
 
8    (30 ILCS 105/6z-87 new)
9    Sec. 6z-87. Murder Victims Services Fund. There is created 
10within the State treasury the  Murder Victims Services Fund.  
11Moneys in the Fund shall be used to provide counseling and 
12financial assistance to murder victims.  The Attorney General, 
13from appropriations made by the General Assembly to the 
14Attorney General, shall allocate moneys to murder victims for 
15such purposes."; and

1on page 15, by inserting immediately below line 10 the 
2following:
 
3    "(P.A. 96-1543, Sec. 15 rep.)
4    Section 20. "An Act concerning criminal law", approved 
5March 9, 2011, Public Act 96-1543, is amended by repealing 
6Section 15.
 
7    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
81, 2012, except that this Section and Sections 3 and 20 take 
9effect July 1, 2011.".
