| 1 | | AN ACT concerning government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Freedom of Information Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 2.25 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 140/2.25 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 2.25. Records maintained online. A public body is not |
| 8 | | required to copy and make available for public inspection a |
| 9 | | public record that is published on the public body's website if |
| 10 | | the public body's Freedom of Information officer certifies that |
| 11 | | the online record is a true and accurate copy of the original |
| 12 | | record maintained by the public body.

| 13 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 | | becoming law.
