AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2917 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2917 on page 72, 
3line 19, by deleting "civil"; and


 
4on page 74, line 10, by deleting "civil"; and
 
5on page 92, by replacing line 5 with the following:
6"federal laws.
7    (e)          Nothing in this Act shall be construed to limit the 
8authority of a hospital pursuant to Section 65-45 of the Nurse 
9Practice Act to grant hospital clinical privileges to an 
10individual advanced practice nurse to select, order or 
11administer medications, including controlled substances to 
12provide services within a hospital.   Nothing in this Act shall 
13be construed to limit the authority of an ambulatory surgical 
14treatment center pursuant to Section 65-45 of the Nurse 
15Practice Act to grant ambulatory surgical treatment center  
16clinical privileges to an individual advanced practice nurse to
