| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2982 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 4, by replacing lines 22 through 26 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(b) There also shall be convened a Regional Network |
| 5 | | Advisory Council in each of the Department of Human Services' |
| 6 | | regions comprised of representatives of community stakeholders |
| 7 | | represented in the Network, as well as relevant trade and |
| 8 | | professional associations, hospitals, and community providers, |
| 9 | | including, but not limited to, the following: one |
| 10 | | representative from an advocacy organization for persons |
| 11 | | suffering from a substance abuse disorder; one representative |
| 12 | | from an advocacy organization for persons with disabilities; |
| 13 | | one representative from an organization that advocates on |
| 14 | | behalf of the community behavioral healthcare industry; one |
| 15 | | representative from an organization that advocates on behalf of |
| 16 | | Illinois hospitals; one representative from an organization |
| 17 | | with expertise in improving the access of persons in medically |

| 6 | | one representative from the Governor's Rural Affairs Council; |
| 7 | | one representative from a professional organization that |
| 8 | | advocates on behalf of physicians trained in the area of |
| 9 | | psychiatry; one representative from an organization dedicated |
| 10 | | to preventing drug and alcohol use among teenagers; one |
| 11 | | representative from an organization dedicated to improving |
| 12 | | access to healthcare in rural areas; one representative from a |
| 13 | | trade association committed to the development and maintenance |
| 14 | | of high quality ambulance and medical transportation services |
| 15 | | in Illinois; one representative from an organization committed |
| 16 | | to improving the State's public healthcare system; one |
| 17 | | representative from an advocacy organization committed to |
| 18 | | improving home care and hospice care; one representative from |
| 19 | | an organization that advocates on behalf of the Illinois |
| 20 | | nursing home profession; one representative from an |
| 21 | | organization the advocates on behalf of farmers in crisis; and |
| 22 | | others designated by the Network Steering Committee or members |
| 23 | | of the Network."; and
