AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2987 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2987 as follows:

 
3by replacing lines 23 and 24 on page 3 and lines 1 and 2 on page 
44 with the following:
 
5        "(d) For minorities and females as defined under the 
6    Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons 
7    with Disabilities Act, set forth goals for apprenticeship 
8    hours to be performed by minorities and females and set 
9    forth goals for total hours to be performed by 
10    underrepresented minorities and females."; and
 
11on page 4, immediately below line 23, by inserting the 
12following:
 
13    "Section 37. Quarterly report; annual report. A State 
14department, agency, authority, board, or instrumentality that

1has a project labor agreement in connection with a public works 
2project shall prepare a quarterly report that includes 
3workforce participation under the agreement by minorities and 
4females as defined under the Business Enterprise for 
5Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act. These 
6reports shall be submitted to the Illinois Department of Labor. 
7The Illinois Department of Labor shall submit to the General 
8Assembly and the Governor an annual report that details the 
9number of minorities and females employed under all public 
10labor agreements within the State.".
