| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil |
| 5 | | Administrative
Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section |
| 6 | | 205-455 as follows:

| 7 | | (20 ILCS 205/205-455 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 205-455. Department website. To maximize the economic |
| 9 | | development of the State's agricultural industry, the |
| 10 | | Department of Agriculture's Internet website, subject to |
| 11 | | appropriation for that purpose, shall include pages that allow |
| 12 | | individuals to request information from the Department and to |
| 13 | | ascertain what available services offered by the Department may |
| 14 | | be utilized for an individual's agricultural operation. |
| 15 | | Department personnel, through the website, shall assist in |
| 16 | | providing farming operations and agricultural businesses, both |
| 17 | | large and small, with customized government assistance in an |
| 18 | | expedited fashion. The website shall allow farmers to provide |
| 19 | | information on their operations and goals, and it shall allow |
| 20 | | farmers to explain what they would like the Department to do to |
| 21 | | assist them in their efforts.
