AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3350

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3350 as follows:

on page 10, line 3, by replacing "the Illinois Association of Naturopathic Physicians" with "an association representing naturopathic physicians"; and

on page 10, line 23, by replacing "A majority" with "Four members"; and

on page 10, by replacing lines 24 and 25 with "quorum is required to exercise the rights and perform all of"; and

on page 12, line 18, after "Board.", by inserting "Three members shall constitute a quorum."; and

on page 13, line 24, after "childbirth.", by inserting "Three members shall constitute a quorum."; and

on page 15, line 19, by replacing "Department" with "General Assembly"; and

on page 15, line 19, by replacing "2007" with "2014"; and

on page 35, immediately below line 13, by inserting the following:

"Section 192. The Regulatory Sunset Act is amended by adding Section 4.32 as follows:

(5 ILCS 80/4.32 new)

Sec. 4.32. Acts repealed on January 1, 2022. The following Act is repealed on January 1, 2022:

The Naturopathic Medical Practice Act."

on page 50, immediately below line 3, by inserting the following:

"Section 200. The Good Samaritan Act is amended by adding Section 27 as follows:

(745 ILCS 49/27 new)

Sec. 27. Naturopathic physicians; exemption from civil liability for emergency care. Any person licensed under the Naturopathic Medical Practice Act who, in good faith, provides emergency care without fee to a person, shall not, as a result of his or her acts or omissions, except willful or wanton misconduct on the part of the person, in providing the care, be liable for civil damages.".
