| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4009 on page 3, by |
| 3 | | replacing line 1 with the following: |
| 4 | | "mode. As used in this Subsection (e), "construction or |
| 5 | | maintenance project" means an area of a highway with |
| 6 | | construction, maintenance, or utility work activities and |
| 7 | | identified by the placement of temporary traffic control |
| 8 | | devices that may include signs, channelizing devices, |
| 9 | | barriers, pavement markings, work vehicles with warning |
| 10 | | lights, or any combination thereof, and extending from the |
| 11 | | first orange sign warning of road work or construction ahead or |
| 12 | | rotating or flashing lights on a vehicle to the last temporary |
| 13 | | traffic control device.".
