Amends the One Day Rest In Seven Act. Deletes language providing that a violation of the Act is a petty offense. Adds language providing that an employer who violates any of the provisions of the Act is subject to a civil penalty of
not less than $25 nor more than $100 for each affected employee for each day that the violation continues.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The One Day Rest In Seven Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 7 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (820 ILCS 140/7) (from Ch. 48, par. 8g)

| 7 | | Sec. 7.
Any employer who violates any of the provisions of |
| 8 | | this Act, shall be
guilty of a petty offense, and shall be |
| 9 | | subject to a civil penalty fined for each offense in a sum of
|
| 10 | | not less than $25 nor more than $100 for each affected employee |
| 11 | | for each day that the violation continues.
