| 4 | | "Section 5. The Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 1.4 as follows:

| 6 | | (50 ILCS 105/1.4 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 1.4. County board member. Notwithstanding any other |
| 8 | | provision of law to the contrary, during his or her term of |
| 9 | | office, no county board member elected to a term commencing on |
| 10 | | or after January 1, 2015 may hold any other elected office of a |
| 11 | | unit of local government. |
| 12 | | For purposes of this Section, "elected office of a unit of |
| 13 | | local government" means any elected office of any unit of local |
| 14 | | government entitled to receive remuneration and to participate |
| 15 | | in a pension plan.".
