| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5021 on page 3, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 16 through 20 with the following: |
| 4 | | "this subsection (f) shall be used for enforcement and |
| 5 | | prevention of driving while under the influence of alcohol, |
| 6 | | other drug or drugs, intoxicating compound or compounds or any |
| 7 | | combination thereof, as defined by Section 11-501 of this Code, |
| 8 | | including but not limited to the purchase of law enforcement |
| 9 | | equipment and commodities that will assist in the prevention of |
| 10 | | alcohol related criminal violence throughout the State; police |
| 11 | | officer training and education in areas related to alcohol |
| 12 | | related crime, including but not limited to DUI training; and |
| 13 | | police officer salaries, including but not limited to salaries |
| 14 | | for hire back funding for safety checkpoints, saturation |
| 15 | | patrols, and liquor store sting operations. to purchase law |
| 16 | | enforcement equipment that will assist in the prevention of |
| 17 | | alcohol related criminal violence throughout the State. This |
| 18 | | shall include, but is not limited to, in-car video cameras, |
