| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Project Labor Agreements Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 36 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 571/36 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 36. Local government prohibition. If a municipality, |
| 8 | | county, or township prohibits the consideration of a project |
| 9 | | labor agreement by rule, initiative, or ordinance, then State |
| 10 | | funding or financial assistance shall not be used to support |
| 11 | | any public works project authorized by that municipality, |
| 12 | | county, or township.
