| 8 | | Sec. 11-42-15. Wind energy systems. For electric |
| 9 | | generating wind devices other than those with a nameplate |
| 10 | | generating capacity of less than 100 kilowatts that are used |
| 11 | | primarily by an end user, a municipality may prohibit any |
| 12 | | electric generating wind device from locating less than 1,400 |
| 13 | | feet from a residential area, provided that the regulation is |
| 14 | | not inconsistent with another municipality's zoning |
| 15 | | regulation.
