HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois General Assembly are 
3saddened to learn of the death of Ryan James Nichols of 
4Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 22, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ryan Nichols served as a civil engineer with the 
6Illinois Department of Transportation for the past eight years; 
7he passed away from injuries he sustained during an accident 
8which occurred on Highway 14 in Woodstock while he was 
9performing his duties; and

  
 
10    WHEREAS, Ryan Nichols will be dearly missed by his devoted 
11wife, Christine; his beloved children, Hudson, Braxten, and 
12Broden; his dear parents, James and Jacalyn Nichols; his fond 
13brother, Jason (Jenny) Nichols, and their son, Alec; his 
14sister, Courtney (Andre) Sears and their children, Camden and 
15Kenley; his maternal grandmother, LaVerne Robertson; his 
16mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anne and Anthony Koza; his 
17sister-in-law, Renee (Peter) Volpendesta; and his nephew, 
18Gregory; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE 
21SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we mourn, along with his family, 
22friends, and the employees of the Illinois Department of

1Transportation, the passing of Ryan James Nichols; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That the month of August 2012 is designated as 
4Ryan Nichols Month to honor his tragic passing; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Ryan Nichols as a symbol of our 
8sympathy.
