HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
John 
4Debevic of Buckner, who passed away on January 9, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Debevic was born on October 6, 1938, in 
6Waukegan; he was the son of Frank and Emelia (Harding) Debevic; 
7he married Kathleen (Chamernick) Debevic on April 28, 1962; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, John Debevic served as chief of the Lake Villa 
9Police Department for 24 years; he also worked for the Waukegan 
10Police Department for 8 years and the Highland Police 
11Department for 2 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, John Debevic enjoyed camping and fishing; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, John Debevic was preceded in death by his parents; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, John Debevic is survived by his wife, Kathleen; 
16his children, Barbara Peterson and John and Paula Debevic; his 
17grandchildren, Andrew Peterson, Brittany Peterson, Brandyn 
18Debevic, and Jacob Debevic; his great-granddaughter, Irelyn 
19Picou; his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Janis Debevic; 
20and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
5John Debevic; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of John Debevic as an expression of our 
8sympathy.
