HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jason Stephen 
4Lewitzke on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle 
5Scout; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Jason Lewitzke has been involved in Scouting since 
7he joined as a Cub Scout at the age of six in 1999; he crossed 
8over to the Boy Scouts in 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light 
9as a Webelos Scout; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Jason 
11Lewitzke has earned a total of 32 merit badges and has served 
12in a variety of leadership positions, including Senior Patrol 
13Leader, Patrol Leader, and Order of the Arrow troop 
14representative; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jason Lewitzke is a Brotherhood member of the 
16Order of the Arrow; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Jason Lewitzke 
18cleaned out a drainage ditch behind Frederick School in 
19Grayslake in the fall of 2009; his project involved over 200 
20man-hours and over two dozen volunteers; and

1    WHEREAS, Jason Lewitzke serves as a model of hard work, 
2integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Jason Stephen Lewitzke on the occasion of 
7attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him 
8continued success and happiness in the future; and be it

10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Jason Lewitzke as a symbol of our esteem and 
12respect.
