| 2 | | WHEREAS, Since 2003, Dr. Joseph E. Nyre has served as the |
| 3 | | President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hope Institute for |
| 4 | | Children and Families; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, During his tenure at The Hope Institute, Dr. Nyre |
| 6 | | has transformed both that organization and the way in which |
| 7 | | services are provided to children with cognitive disorders, |
| 8 | | particularly those with multiple disabilities; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Nyre has expanded the programmatic offerings |
| 10 | | of The Hope Institute through the expansion of living, |
| 11 | | learning, and health programs, growth of The Autism Program of |
| 12 | | Illinois into the nation's largest statewide network for autism |
| 13 | | services and support, creation of the Noll Medical Pavilion, |
| 14 | | and the opening of The Hope Institute Learning Academy in |
| 15 | | Chicago; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Through his many efforts, Dr. Nyre has touched the |
| 17 | | lives of children and families from Rockford to Cairo and |
| 18 | | improved the delivery of care for generations to come; |
| 19 | | therefore, be it

| 20 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
