HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Leo Fronza on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Chief Executive Officer of 
5Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Leo Fronza grew up in a small coal mining town in 
7eastern Pennsylvania; aided by strong family support and a 
8strong work ethic, he was the first member of his family to 
9graduate from college; he earned his bachelor's degree from 
10Pennsylvania State University and his master's degree from 
11George Washington University; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Leo Fronza served his country with pride and 
13distinction as a member of the United States Armed Forces, 
14which included a tour in Vietnam; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Leo Fronza has been in healthcare administration 
16since 1972 and has been at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital since 
171978; he was appointed to serve as President and Chief 
18Executive Officer of Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare in 1992; he 
19has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Elmhurst 
20Memorial Healthcare since its inception in June of 1995; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Leo Fronza is a member of the Elmhurst Memorial

1Healthcare Board of Trustees, the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital 
2Board of Trustees, and the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital 
3Foundation; he also represents the healthcare system on the 
4Board of ELMCARE, the physician-hospital organization; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Leo Fronza serves as a model of hard work, 
6integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
7Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate Leo Fronza on the occasion of his retirement 
11and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it 
12further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Leo Fronza as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
