HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Etta Mae Credi began her career with the Illinois 
3Department of Insurance on February 23, 1954, as a Clerk Steno 
4I in the Property and Liability Division, making $225 a month; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, In 1981, Mrs. Credi was made a Department of 
7Insurance Unit Supervisor and was eventually promoted to 
8Assistant Deputy Director in 1990; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi has worked with ten Governors and 
10twenty-three Insurance Directors; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi has been an integral participant in the 
12National Association of Insurance Commissioners and is 
13nationally regarded for her skill and keen insight; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi works tirelessly on behalf of insurance 
15consumers in Illinois and around the United States; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi has a remarkable knowledge and 
17understanding of the Department of Insurance and its history, 
18operations, and regulations; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi's dedication and loyalty to the

1Department of Insurance have made her a role mode for her 
2co-workers, friends, and family; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi is not only a dedicated Department of 
4Insurance employee, but also a friend, a leader, and an 
5inspiration to those who work with her; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we thank Etta Mae Credi for her 57 years of service to the 
9people of the State of Illinois and wish her continued success 
10and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Etta Mae Credi as a symbol of our respect and 
13esteem.
