HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Yusef Carr of BSA 
4Troop 38 in North Chicago on the occasion of earning the 
5distinguished rank of Eagle Scout; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Yusef Carr is a senior at St. Joseph Catholic 
7Academy; he is a saxophonist and has excelled at high school 
8wrestling and track; he plans to continue his education at 
9Eastern Illinois University, where he will major in music 
10education; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Yusef Carr is an actor who, as an elementary 
12student, appeared in a high school performance of "Raisin in 
13the Sun"; he was given the supporting role of "Travis", son of 
14the starring characters; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Yusef Carr has been in the Boy Scouts for 10 
16years; he is the first person to be designated as an Eagle 
17Scout for BSA Troop 38, a testament to his dedication to the 
18people of his community; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Yusef Carr serves as an usher at his church; he 
20also serves on the audio/visual team; and

1    WHEREAS, Yusef Carr serves as a model of hard work, 
2integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Yusef Carr on the occasion of earning the 
7distinguished rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued 
8success and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Yusef Carr as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
