HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the employees of 
4SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford on the occasion of the 
5hospital's 100th anniversary; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Over the last 100 years, SwedishAmerican Hospital 
7has become a full service, tertiary, non-profit teaching 
8hospital; as a subsidiary of SwedishAmerican Health System, the 
9hospital serves the greater Rockford region, northern 
10Illinois, and southern Wisconsin; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, SwedishAmerican Hospital has earned a reputation 
12for its commitment to quality healthcare, including clinical 
13excellence, patient loyalty, and placing the needs and concerns 
14of their patients first; SwedishAmerican Hospital was founded 
15on June 6, 1911 by the Swedish people of Rockford; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The employees of SwedishAmerican Hospital will 
17celebrate the hospital's 100th anniversary on June 6, 2011; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, For 100 years, the employees of SwedishAmerican 
19have lived the hospital's mission, "Through excellence in 
20healthcare and compassionate service, we care for our 
21community."; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the employees of SwedishAmerican Hospital on 
4the occasion of the hospital's 100th anniversary and wish them 
5continued success and happiness in the future; and be it

7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to SwedishAmerican Hospital as a symbol of our esteem
