HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to commend Nick Ziegler on the 
4occasion of his work with the Midwest BMX Donations Program; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Nick Ziegler has been involved in providing BMX 
7bikes and training to over 50 children for more than two years; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The bikes are given free of charge to children in 
10at-risk and/or low-income situations; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Midwest BMX Donations Program provides the 
12necessary training for riders to become proficient in the 
13sport; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, BMX is a nationally-recognized sport that 
15provides team building and networking opportunities; and
 
16    WHEREAS, The skills taught to children helped by Nick 
17Ziegler and the Midwest BMX Donations Program have provided 
18opportunities for employment in repair and maintenance; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Nick Ziegler provides these services free of

1charge with no compensation or permanent financial support; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we commend Nick Ziegler on his work with children through the 
6Midwest BMX Donations Program; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Nick Ziegler as a symbol of our respect and 
9esteem.
